Elegant. Classy. Luxurious. All adjectives that were never once used to describe the accommodations for those of us hanging out in the concrete jungle known as the parking lot for 3 days. Much like a fat woman in a pie-eating contest - she ain't pretty to look at but she could certainly get the job done! The time has come to put this old baby to rest as a new canopy has been purchased and will make its debut at State 2014. Unfortunately, the stock prices for clamps and visqueen has bottomed out, but similar to a badly wounded horse, it was time for this baby to be put down, one last time.

MC's HSBU team has always been about efficiency and innovation. That is why in 2008 MC's HSBU partnered with Weebly Web Creations to develop a website that would serve as the central hub for everything State Tournament. In 2010 MC's HSBU joined forces with the consulting firm Defrancesco Statistics LLC to compile and organize points and attendance records. Recognized as an industry leader on the cutting edge of new technology, James Defrancesco, Director of Technology Operations began testing and piloting his new Electronic Points and Attendance System (E.P.A.S.) to further streamline the submission and data collection process. It is with much anticipation and excitement that MC's HSBU is proud to roll out Defrancesco Statistics LLC latest and greatest technological advancement - the Electronic Points & Attendance System!

2012 Headlines
Welcome the newest member of the State Tournament Crew - The Blue Rhino Deluxe LP Gas BBQ Grill !!!
(March 2012)
Thanks to a generous donation from "Pops", the sweet smell of brats, burgers, dogs, and onions will continue to permeate all over the parking lot of St. John Arena. While the memories from our beloved "Big Red" will never be able to be replaced, our new friend is ready to handle all of our state tournament grilling needs. Rocking a straight-up redonkulous 294-inch grilling surface with a whopping 18,00 btu's, this new maniacal meat master is sleaker, nearly 20 pounds lighter, and more mobile than any other portable grill on the market. Backed by one of the most trusted brands known in the bbq world (Blue Rhino), this bad mama-jamma is sure to provide endless pounds of pure meaty bliss for years to come!
R.I.P. "Big Red" 2006-2011
(March 2012)
COLUMBUS - On July 1, 2011, the Coleman Roadtrip Grill, affectionately known as "Big Red", was peacefully laid to rest in a private ceremony at the SWACO Franklin County Landfill following a long and successful career as the official tailgating grill for the state tournament. In his prime, Red boasted a 285 inch grilling surface, large enough to handle up to 12 hamburger patties, and burned at a whopping 20,00 btu's. During his illustrious career, this factory of meat happiness supplied all the hungry state-goers with the tastiest burgers, brats, chicken, eggs, ham, pancakes, bacon, and of course the world famous grilled onions. This giant of the portable grill world truly revolutionized the entire state tournament experience when he first made his debut in 2006, and will be remembered for his dedication and commitment, grilling hundreds of pounds worth of tasty gribbles.
Unfortunately, Red contracted a terminal disease that even the world's best grill doctors could not cure. Red suffered a severe case of excessive grease build up which quickly spread to the most vital grill components. Further complications presented themselves in the form of mold and rust following an intense weekend of grilling and excessive moisture from Mother Nature following the 2011 state tournament. As diligently as grill experts worked to try and revive the grilling machine, the decision was made to end the suffering and allow Big Red to to go peacefully into grill heaven. He is survived by one griddle plate, one grill plate, a spatula, and a pair of tongs.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the advocacy group, Help-A-Brotha, who recently launched the "Oh dang, we need a grill for state!" campaign.
